Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible within the context of your comment.

Multimedia

If you upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from images on the site.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and log in to the site, we will create a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. The cookie does not contain any personal information and will be deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also create various cookies to save your login information and screen options. Login cookies last for two days and screen options cookies last for one year. How long do we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically recognize and approve subsequent comments, rather than keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site, we also store the personal data they enter in their user profile. All users can see, edit or delete their personal data at any time (except for being able to change their username). The administrators of this site may also see and edit this information.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete the personal data we hold about you. This does not include data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.
